Imagine a Greener, Healthier, More Prosperous City. US 131 is dangerous, clogged, and very expensive to maintain. MDOT is working on a plan that makes these problems worse.

  • Separate high-speed through traffic from low-speed local traffic

  • Free up land for parks, new businesses, and housing

  • Reconnect Neighborhoods

  • Reduce blight, make streets safer

  • Expand the tree canopy, making a greener, cooler downtown
